Hydra Spa handpieces and serum bottles arranged on a treatment tray

What Happens During a Hydra Spa Appointment?

Kira Tia

A Hydra Spa appointment starts with a short skin consult, moves through about six steps of cleansing, polishing, refining, infusing, massage and a cool, soft-light finish, and ends with sunscreen and a few aftercare tips. You stay comfortable on a treatment bed throughout. The facials are now booking online.

Key takeaways

  • Every appointment opens with a consult and closes with sunscreen, so your esthetician can tailor the steps to your skin that day.
  • The Hydra Spa Infusion Ultra Glow system uses interchangeable handpieces and four solutions labeled A to D across six steps.
  • Facials run 30 to 90 minutes and $95 to $225. A 20 percent deposit holds the time, and add-on boosts are paid at the visit.
  • Results are cosmetic, temporary and vary from person to person. No downtime is expected.

What Happens When You Arrive for a Hydra Spa Appointment?

You are welcomed at Lumina Skin Sanctuary, 7940 Dani Dr, Suite 135, Room 209, Fort Myers, FL 33966. Your esthetician, a licensed professional, walks you to the treatment room, where you can leave your things, tie back your hair and settle onto the bed with a blanket and a headband.

The Skin Consult

Your esthetician looks at your skin under good light and asks about your goals, current products, allergies, medications, sun exposure and any upcoming events. This takes a few minutes and shapes everything that follows. If you have a condition that needs a doctor, or something is unsuitable that day, we will say so and adjust the plan. You can read tips for this part in your first Hydra Spa facial.

Choosing Add-On Boosts

If you want an add-on, this is the moment. Boosts range from $15 to $30, are added to a facial rather than booked alone, and are paid at the visit. We will tell you whether your facial already includes that step.

What Are the Six Steps of a Hydra Spa Facial?

The Hydra Spa Infusion Ultra Glow machine has 15 handpieces and tools, plus four solutions labeled A to D that your esthetician applies in order. Every visit follows a six-step flow, and the exact steps depend on the facial you chose. For the full list, see the Hydra Spa Infusion hub and the solutions page.

Step 1: Consult and Cleanse

Your skin is cleansed gently to remove makeup, sunscreen and surface oil, so everything after it works on a clean canvas.

Step 2: Exfoliate

A hydro or diamond polishing step lifts dull-looking surface cells. The water-based aqua hydro-dermabrasion handpiece feels like a cool, swirling massage. The diamond microdermabrasion tip polishes with a fine textured surface.

Step 3: Refine

Ultrasonic and glass-electrode steps freshen the surface. The ultrasonic scrubber and high frequency glass electrodes are used in some facials, such as Clarify and Ultra Glow.

Step 4: Infuse

Solutions and a fine mist leave skin looking hydrated. Some facials, such as Deluxe and Ultra Glow, also add the facial ultrasound tool as a gentle, cosmetic step.

Step 5: Massage and Tone

Rolling, vibration and contouring handpieces relax the face, including the vibration massage and the 4-polar roller. Many people find this the most relaxing part.

Step 6: Soothe and Finish

Cool tools such as the cold hammer and soft light from the LED mask close the visit, followed by moisturizer and sunscreen.

Which Steps Are Used in Which Facial?

Not every visit uses every step. This is how the menu maps out.

Ultra Glow 90 min, $225 All steps, including eye ultrasound, ozone ion and high frequency

How Does a Hydra Spa Appointment Feel?

Most steps feel cool, smooth or lightly tingly. Water-based steps feel refreshing, the glass-electrode step can feel like a faint buzzing, and the massage steps feel like gentle rhythm. Your esthetician checks in throughout and adjusts to your comfort, so speak up if anything feels too strong. If you have questions about a specific tool, our Hydra Spa services page explains what each facial includes.

What Happens at the End of the Appointment?

Your esthetician applies moisturizer and a broad-spectrum sunscreen, helps you sit up slowly and talks through aftercare: sunscreen daily, gentle products for the day, no strong exfoliants until advised, and plenty of water. You settle the remaining balance after your 20 percent deposit, plus any boosts, and you can ask about your next visit before you leave. If you notice a small breakout in the following days, our post on what is normal after a facial can help.

Frequently Asked Questions About a Hydra Spa Appointment

How long does a Hydra Spa appointment take?

The facials run from 30 minutes for Express Hydrate to 90 minutes for Ultra Glow, with Signature, Clarify and Brighten at 60 minutes and Deluxe at 75 minutes. A short consult is included, and it helps to arrive a few minutes early for check-in and to settle in.

Do I stay awake during the facial?

Yes, though many people relax so deeply it feels like napping. There are no sedatives or numbing medicines, and you can speak with your esthetician at any point. You will be lying back on a treatment bed with a blanket, so tell us if you are too warm or cool.

Will my face be red afterward?

Some people look slightly flushed for a short time, which usually settles quickly. No downtime is expected for these cosmetic services. If your skin tends to react, tell your esthetician beforehand so the steps can be gentle. Always wear sunscreen afterward.

Can I wear makeup to my appointment?

Yes. We cleanse first, so you can arrive in your normal makeup, though a bare face saves time. Bring a small makeup kit if you want to reapply afterward, and ask your esthetician when your skin is ready for it.

How does payment work?

A 20 percent deposit holds your appointment, and you pay the balance at the visit. Add-on boosts, from $15 to $30, are paid at the visit as well. Packages are paid in full and are non-refundable. See the price list for current information.

Can I book a Hydra Spa appointment today?

Yes. Hydra Spa facials are now booking online. Book any time on our Hydra Spa services page to pick your facial and time. Our current facials are available on the booking page.
