What happens in the Barrier Reset Series and the Express Hydrating Facial?

Barrier Reset Series (3 visits × 60 minutes, $225)

  • Visit 1, consultation and calm. A skin consultation, a review of your current products and a gentle, hydrating facial. You leave with a first written morning and evening routine.
  • Visit 2, check-in and build. We review how your skin felt since visit one, adjust your routine and continue with calming, hydrating steps and a barrier cream.
  • Visit 3, protect and maintain. We check progress, fine-tune your long-term routine and talk about how often to come back.

Every series visit includes gentle cleansing and hydrating steps at a comfortable pace, a calming mask, a ceramide barrier cream and broad-spectrum SPF. Your esthetician recommends the spacing, and the series is valid for 12 months from purchase.

Express Hydrating Facial (30 minutes, $75)

  • Quick cleanse and prep. An efficient professional cleanse readies your skin.
  • Ultrasonic polishing. A gentle ultrasonic spatula lifts dead cells and loosens debris without scrubbing.
  • Hyaluronic-acid hydration surge. Hyaluronic acid draws water into thirsty skin for a plumper look.
  • Moisture and SPF. A calming moisturizer seals in hydration and sunscreen protects your skin.

Care and results

What should you avoid before and after a facial for sensitive skin?

Before your visit

  • Arrive 5 to 10 minutes early for the consultation
  • Tell us about medications, allergies, skin conditions and any products that sting or burn
  • Avoid new strong actives such as retinol or exfoliating acids for a day or two beforehand
  • If your skin is sunburned, broken or actively inflamed, contact the studio first. We may suggest a different date
  • Come as you are. Makeup is removed during the cleanse

After your visit

  • Keep your routine simple for a day or two: gentle cleanser, moisturizer and SPF
  • Hold off on strong exfoliating acids and retinol until your esthetician says it is a good time
  • Avoid very hot showers, saunas and hot yoga for about 24 hours
  • Wear broad-spectrum SPF every day and reapply outdoors
  • Avoid trying many new products at once, which makes it hard to see what helps

When to see a medical provider

When should you see a dermatologist instead of booking a facial?

Rosacea and persistent redness should be diagnosed by a dermatologist; our facials are cosmetic and gentle, not medical treatment.

Persistent rashes, pain or swelling are best seen by a medical provider.

If you already have a diagnosis, you are welcome to book: tell us when you book, follow your provider's guidance, and your esthetician will keep the facial within it.

Questions, answered

Common questions

Short, direct answers from the studio.

Is a facial safe for sensitive skin?

A facial can suit sensitive skin when it is planned around comfort. The Gentle First Visit Facial is designed for easily irritated skin: it starts with a consultation about what your skin reacts to, then uses a gentle double cleanse, a hydrating mask, serums and SPF at a slow pace. Stronger steps are added only if you ask for them, and you can say stop, slower or skip at any time. If your skin is very reactive or you have a diagnosed skin condition, mention it when you book.

Can a facial help with redness or rosacea?

Rosacea and persistent redness should be diagnosed by a dermatologist; our facials are cosmetic and gentle, not medical treatment. We do not diagnose or treat rosacea or any other condition. What a gentle facial can do is help skin feel calmer, more hydrated and more comfortable, using low-intensity steps and products chosen for reactive skin. If you have a diagnosis, follow your provider's advice and tell us about it so your esthetician can keep the visit within that guidance.

Will I have extractions at a gentle facial?

Only if you want them. The Gentle First Visit Facial focuses on cleansing, hydration and comfort, so extractions and other stronger steps are optional. Many first-time guests skip them and add them later once they know how their skin feels. Your esthetician explains what each step does before anything is added, and the Barrier Reset Series stays focused on calming, hydrating and protecting the skin rather than intensive steps.

How long does a gentle facial take and what does it cost?

The Gentle First Visit Facial takes 60 minutes and costs $85. The Barrier Reset Series is three 60-minute facials for $225, or $75 per visit, valid for 12 months. The Express Hydrating Facial is a 30-minute, $75 option for skin that is mainly dehydrated. If you only want help building a routine, the Beginner Routine Consult is 30 minutes for $45 and is not a facial. All prices are current and shown on each service page.

Should I book the Gentle First Visit Facial or the Barrier Reset Series?

Choose the Gentle First Visit Facial if you have never had a professional facial and want to try one calm visit first; it is $85 for 60 minutes. Choose the Barrier Reset Series if you already know your skin feels tight, dry, stinging or reactive and you want a plan over several visits; it is three 60-minute facials for $225, with a written home routine your esthetician updates at each visit. Many guests start with one visit, then decide.

What should I tell my esthetician before a facial for sensitive skin?

Tell us about any medications, allergies and diagnosed skin conditions, plus every product that has ever stung, burned or made your skin flush. Mention what you use now, morning and night, and whether your skin changes with the seasons, since many Southwest Florida clients feel sensitive in summer and tight in winter. If your skin is sunburned, broken or actively inflamed on the day, contact the studio first so we can decide together whether to reschedule.
