What is a microcurrent facial?
A microcurrent facial uses a very small, gentle electrical signal delivered through a handheld applicator. Your esthetician glides it in smooth strokes along the muscles of the face and neck. It is a cosmetic, surface-level treatment and it is not a medical procedure.
What does it do for your skin?
- Helps the face look toned and lifted for a while
- Supports a more defined look along the jawline and cheeks
- Leaves skin looking fresh and rested
- Pairs well with massage and LED steps

Microcurrent questions
Does microcurrent hurt?
No. Most people feel a light tingle or nothing at all. Your esthetician sets the level to your comfort.
How long do the results last?
The lifted, toned look is temporary and can last from a few days to a couple of weeks, and it varies from person to person. A regular schedule helps you keep the look consistent.
Who should not have a microcurrent facial?
Skip it if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, or have epilepsy or a metal implant in the face. Tell us about your health history at booking, and we will tailor your visit.
Is it a medical treatment?
No. Lumina is a licensed esthetician studio, not a medical spa. This is a cosmetic step that does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition.
How is it different from RF or Botox?
It uses a very low-level current and does not use injections or heat. It gives a temporary toned look, not the results of a medical procedure.
