What to Expect at Your First Facial at Lumina Skin Sanctuary
Kira Tia By Kira Tia · Licensed Esthetician & Lead Skincare SpecialistShare
If you've never had a professional facial — or you've only had rushed, machine-heavy ones — walking into a new studio can feel like a small unknown. At Lumina, the whole experience is built to feel like the opposite of that. Here's exactly what to expect on your first visit, so you can arrive relaxed and leave glowing.

Finding us
We're inside MY SALON Suites at 7940 Dani Dr, Suite 135, Room 209, Fort Myers, FL 33966. Come through the Suite 135 main entrance, walk back to Room 209, and ring the doorbell — we'll let you right in. Parking is free, and there's no crowded waiting room; it's just you and Kira.
A real consultation first
Every first visit begins with a short, unhurried conversation about your skin — what it's doing lately, what you'd love it to do, any sensitivities, and your daily routine. This is how a treatment gets tailored to your face rather than a one-size template. There are no wrong answers, and nothing you need to prepare.
The treatment: entirely by hand
Lumina facials are manual — done by hand, not by device. That means lymphatic drainage that de-puffs and brightens, sculpting massage that lifts and defines, gentle cleansing and extractions as needed, and pressure that adapts to your face in real time in a way no machine can. Most guests find it deeply relaxing; many drift off. Your treatment runs anywhere from 30 to 120 minutes depending on the service you chose — our Fort Myers facials menu lists every option.
What to bring — nothing
Come as you are. We'll give you everything you need. If you can, skip retinoids and strong exfoliants the night before so your skin is calm and comfortable for treatment.
Settling up, and your glow
You'll have paid securely in full when you booked (free cancellation or rescheduling up to 24 hours before); a tip, if you'd like, is settled right in the room when we finish. You'll leave with a visible glow and a short, personalized aftercare note by email so today's results last.
When to come back
Skin runs on a roughly 3–4 week cycle, so that's the sweet spot for keeping momentum — but there's never any pressure. Book whenever suits you, and if you fall in love with the ritual (most people do), a prepaid facial package makes a regular rhythm easier and more affordable.

What happens at the start of my first facial?
Every first visit begins with a short, unhurried consultation about your skin: what it is doing lately, what you would like it to do, any sensitivities, and your daily routine. How long does a first facial at Lumina take?
Treatments run anywhere from 30 to 120 minutes depending on the service you book, with steps and pressure adapted to your skin in real time.
